符祥威揭虚假律师函企图诈骗
诈骗分子如今已开始通过邮寄虚假的通知书手段来欺骗公众!人联党公共投诉局主任符祥威表示,上个月收到虚假法院命令通知的受害者,现在又再次成为欺诈性法律通知的目标。 据他介绍,这封邮件的标题为“Amaran Terakhir. Tindakan Segera Diperlukan”(最后提醒,需立即采取行动),声称是由一家律师事务所发送的。 他在今天的新闻发布会上表示,在过去的9月9日,同一名受害者收到了看似吉隆坡地方法院法院命令的信件,而就在昨天,他又通过普通邮件收到了一封带有律师事务所命名的信件。 符祥威表示,他认为诈骗分子之所以调整手段,是因为媒体对之前案件的报道而改变。 “看来骗子们知道之前的新闻报道。在第一次新闻发布会上,我提到过,没有律师事务所的附函,你是不会收到任何法院命令的。这次,他们发来的东西看起来像是法律信函——所谓的法律通知。” 他表示,这封假信设计得非常逼真,而且令人生畏。 “任何普通人看到这封信都会感到担忧。受害者的姓名和身份证信息都正确,信中声称他无视了之前的几份通知和最后要求,甚至说有一名警官去过他家,但他没有配合。” “信中还说,他的房子将面临处罚,他的银行账户(列有正确号码)将与其他账户一起被冻结。” “信中警告说,这是最后一次联系他们的机会,否则将导致执法行动,恕不另行通知。” 对于信中的种种措辞,符祥威坦言的确令人信服,且听起来很完美,但其实是假的。 受害者是一名35岁的建筑工人,名叫Jong。此前,他收到一封疑似来自吉隆坡地方法院的信,索要约1.4万令吉的赔偿,并已向警方报案。 符祥威重申,真正的法院命令绝不会直接送达个人,而是通过原告律师签发,并附上一家知名律师事务所的正式信函。 “官方文件上还会印有‘Urusan Seri Paduka Baginda’字样,而伪造文件中却没有这些字样。这些都是公众应该警惕的明显危险信号。” 他还补充说,由于公众日益谨慎,诈骗分子已经改变了策略。 “过去,人们是通过电话诈骗。但现在许多人对接听陌生号码更加谨慎,诈骗分子也改变了策略——他们会强迫你给他们打电话。这些信件会提供电话号码,如果你拨打这些号码,就会直接联系到诈骗分子。” 符祥威敦促公众不要拨打任何可疑信件中列出的电话号码,而应向马来西亚律师公会、砂拉越律师协会或人联党公共投诉局核实此类文件的真实性。 “切勿拨打这些信件中的电话号码。务必直接向相关部门核实。如果您不确定,请联系我们——我们免费提供此项服务。”
