Dr Sim: return after you complete your studies
SUPP president Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian said parents have a part to play for their children to be world class in education by asking children to return to Sarawak after their studies.
He said through this, there will be a stop to brain drain and it is important for parents to ask the children to give back to Sarawak by contributing to society. This, he said will also give parents a chance to have their children near the parents.
Dr. Sim was speaking during the earth-breaking ceremony for a multipurpose hall at SK Jalan Ong Tiang Swee here yesterday. He said Education used to be under the state and it is the right time to fight for that autonomy back.
He also encouraged students to master the English language to be on par with the rest of the world.
Dr Sim later announced an allocation of RM5,000 for the school.
