Unhappy UPP members joined Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP)

Fifty members of United People’s Party (UPP)  joined Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) on January 26.

The group was lead by Mr. John Pata to join SUPP Party after a dialogue session with SUPP Party President Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian at the Multipurpose Hall Kampung Tematu.

He said “We have lost our confidence with UPP party”. Moreover UPP is not a Barisan Nasional component party.

He requests those who joined the UPP party previously to return to the SUPP, a Barisan Nasional Party.

This is because SUPP Barisan Nasional Party can bring the required infrastructure development to the kampung area especially Kampung Tematu where it still cries out for the infrastructure development and other necessities.

John also stressed that there are many UPP members especially Bumiputera and some Chinese members who also intend to leave UPP Party and join SUPP Party.

He said SUPP had contributed a lot to Kampung Tematu especially like the multipurpose hall which is contributed by SUPP during Dato Yong Khoon Seng as a member of parliament and Deputy Minister of Work, Malaysia.
