SUPP Public Complaint Bureau Press Release

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau  was recently approached for assistance by the Chairman of Asajaya Market Neighbourhood Association  as he was not satisfied with the police handling of two persons caught by his members.

The two suspects caught by his members were behaving and acting suspiciously and in the process of breaking into a shop house.

The two suspects were handed over to the police together their identity cards at the place where the incident took place. However the police on duty at that particular time, instead of detaining them for questioning, returned their identity cards and requested the two suspect and committee members of the Neighbourhood Association to go to the Asajaya Police Station. The two suspects did not turn up at the Asajaya Police Station.

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau views the matter seriously as incidents of this nature would have an adverse effect on the Government’s initiative to reduce the crime and had lodged a police report at the Kuching District Police “One Stop Centre” at Simpang Tiga.
