Potential candidates for Opar
Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) has identified two potential candidates for the Opar seat in the hope that one of them will replace incumbent Ranum Mina of United People’s Party (UPP) in the next state election.
Niponi Undek and Billy Sujang, both from the Bidayuh Selako sub-group and working in the public health sector, were unveiled at a Leaders-Meet-The-People session in Kampung Sebandi Hulu yesterday.
SUPP vice-president Datuk Francis Harden Hollis officiated at the function in his capacity as Assistant Minister of Housing and Assistant Minister of Rural Development. It was also attended by SUPP president Senator Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian and Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP) secretary-general Anthony Nogeh Gumbek.
