Sharing the spirit of Gawai
The President of Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian, led his CWC leaders to share the spirit of the Gawai festivities by making their rounds to visit their members and supporters for the last two days.
Following a visit to Datuk Francis Hardin’s residence in Sri Aman, the group also dropped by at the nearby longhouses in Sri Aman, Engkilili, Betong, Pantu and Kuching areas.
Dr. Sim said in Sarawak, everyone is fortunate to enjoy the concept of Open house where all races, regardless of religion and race, came together to celebrate the Gawai.
He said rich or poor, all the Dayaks received their guests with warm hospitality from within their hearts.
Dr. Sim also urged those who drink not to drive to prevent unfortunate accidents.
