SPCB helping out Chung Hua Primary school

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau was recently approached by the School Board of Chung Hua Primary School, 4 ½ Mile, Penrissen Road, Kuching for assistance to apply for a small parcel (about half acre) of idle state land adjacent to the School.

The school board explained that they require the said state land for purposes of constructing additional resource rooms and facilities for the ever increasing number of students in the fast expanding surrounding Jalan Kong Ping and Jalan Arang residential areas.

Upon receiving the request for assistance from the school board, SPCB brought the matter to the attention of SUPP Party President, Dr Sim Hui Hian. An informal meeting was subsequently arranged for the headmistress of the school and school board members to meet up with Dr Sim.

During the meeting, Dr Sim was requested by the school board members to assist them to apply for the land from the Sarawak Government.  Various other matters involving the school were also brought up and discussed during the meeting.

The Chairman of the School Board, Mr Then Min Kian also handed over an application cum proposal for the alienation of the said state land to the School to Dr Sim who promised to assist by bringing the matter to the attention of the Chief Minister of Sarawak.
