Revised electricity tariff
The Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem’s decision to revise the electricity tariffs downward for all domestic consumers in Sarawak is wonderful, said SUPP Secretary general, Dato’ Sebastian Ting.
“He is a caring Chief Minister who knows the hardship of the ordinary people on the street, the poor, the low and middle income group who are facing the challenging times ahead. Never before did the electricity tariff revise downwards.
With this announcement, another 60000 customers will join the present 70 000 customers that are already eligible for the Federal government’s subsidy of RM20. This we must thank the Chief Minister for his kind deeds. He is indeed a people’s Chief Minister, ” added Ting.
Adenan made the decision after he took into consideration the rising cost of living and hoped that the decision of the State Government will ease the burden of all domestic consumers in the state, especially those in the lower and middle income groups.
