Dato Sebastian on returned Bibles
Dato Sebastian was both relieved and happy to hear of the news that the Selangor government has decided to return all the Bibles seized by the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) on 2 January to the Bible Society of Malaysia.
However, the Bibles were returned on condition that they would be used only by Christians in Sarawak.
In a statement, Sebastian “Indeed Praise the Lord that the seized Bibles were returned to the Bible Society of Malaysia, after almost one year and after many promises and assurances. The seizure of the Bibles should not have happened in the first place. Our CM has said many times that we in Sarawak have no issue and can use the word Allah in BM and Iban Bibles.”
Pakatan created the problem – for us in Sarawak we must ensure that we govern our own Sarawak without them, he added.
