Disciplinary Committee
The Sarawak United Peoples‘ Party (SUPP) Disciplinary Committee sat on 30 Dec 2013 to work out the next course of action for the five persons who had been given show caused letters.
According to a reliable source, the Disciplinary Committee, headed by Datuk William Tayuh, will either suspend or expelled those who did not reply to the show cause letters.
Five persons, Dato’ Sri Wong Soon Koh, Kapitan Wong Yew Nung, Chairman of Sarikei District council, Chan Phan Chan, Thomas Hii King Hiong and Penghulu Sia Jii Ming were issued show cause letters. The four were issued their letters on October 30th this year while Wong received his on December 6.
Wong has defiantly stated in a press conference recently that he would not want to reply to the letter.
Party sources clarified that there were a number of those involved who had replied to the show cause letter. Under the SUPP constitution, they were allowed to appeal within 14 days upon receiving the letters.
