Sports event strengthens community ties and healthy living, says Cr Eric Tay
Team Dynamic Kuching chairman Eric Tay said sports activities play an important role in promoting healthy living while strengthening community ties following the successful Badminton Get Together held recently at Stapok Badminton Hall.
The programme attracted nearly 100 participants, including players, family members, supporters and members of the public of all ages, creating a lively atmosphere that encouraged an active and healthy lifestyle.
Tay said the event was more than a friendly badminton gathering, as it also provided an opportunity for residents to build stronger relationships and foster greater neighbourly spirit.
“A healthy community begins with healthy people. Sports encourage a healthy lifestyle while bringing people together. Through activities like this, we hope to inspire more people to stay active and strengthen the bonds among residents,” he said.
He added that community development is not only about improving infrastructure but also enhancing residents’ well-being and encouraging greater participation in community activities.
Tay said Team Dynamic Kuching would continue organising more sports, youth and community service programmes to provide residents with opportunities to interact, contribute and stay connected while promoting healthier living.
