Upgrading of Taman Rekreasi Satria Jaya BDC

Kota Sentosa Assemblyman Wilfred Yap today witnessed the handing over of the Letter of Award (LOA) by Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng for the implementation of his Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) project to upgrade Taman Rekreasi Satria Jaya BDC.

He said the project, with an allocation of RM35,000, will be implemented by Kuching South City Council (MBKS), with Akih Company appointed as the contractor.

Yap added that the upgrading of the recreational park reflects his ongoing commitment to improving public amenities and creating a more comfortable, safe and enjoyable environment for residents of Taman Satria Jaya BDC and the surrounding neighbourhoods.

“Well-maintained recreational facilities encourage healthy lifestyles, strengthen community interaction and provide a safe space for children, youths and families to gather and enjoy outdoor activities. Although this is a relatively modest project in value, it will bring meaningful improvements that directly benefit the local community,” he said.

Assuring that he will continue to work closely with MBKS and all relevant agencies to identify and implement projects that enhance the quality of life of residents in Kota Sentosa, in line with the Sarawak Government’s vision of inclusive and people-centric development.
