Cr. Eric Tay Tze Kok Continues Serving the Community During Gawai Celebration
Kuching South City Councillor Cr. Eric Tay Tze Kok remained committed to serving the public during the festive season by leading his team in a mobile community service programme, with support from SUPP members and various community leaders.
Besides providing assistance and consultation services to the public, the team also helped many indigenous residents apply for the Kenyalang Gold Card and attended to various community needs, allowing the people to feel the spirit of care and togetherness while celebrating the festive season.
Sarawak has always been known for its harmony among people of different races, religions and cultural backgrounds. During the Gawai celebration, people from all walks of life gathered together in unity and joy, reflecting the true spirit of mutual respect, understanding and togetherness that makes Sarawak unique.
Tay stated that the needs of the people do not stop during festive seasons, and community service should continue regardless of the occasion. He hopes such mobile service initiatives will allow the team to stay close to the grassroots and better understand the needs of the community.
He also took the opportunity to extend his heartfelt Gawai greetings to all Dayak communities, wishing everyone a joyful and meaningful Gawai celebration filled with happiness, warmth and precious moments with loved ones.
