MPP Pledges Full Support to Police in Combating Illegal Activities in Padawan
The Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) has pledged its full support to the police in efforts to curb illegal activities, including online gambling, within the Padawan area.
MPP Chairman Cr. Tan Kai said this after a meeting with Padawan District Police Chief, Supt. Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi
Tan Kai outlined four key measures the council will implement to strengthen enforcement efforts. These include working with utility companies to cut electricity supply to premises once confirmed by the police, cooperating with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to act against related websites, revoking business licences of premises involved, and providing manpower and logistical support to assist police operations.
“MPP fully supports all enforcement actions taken by the police. Our priority is to ensure Padawan remains a safe and better place for its residents,” Tan Kai stressed.
The meeting was also attended by MPP Deputy Chairman Cr. Mahmud Bin Dato’ Sri Hj Ibrahim, Acting Municipal Secretary Ir. Ts. Goh Thiam Ho, councillors, and senior council officers.
