Pending new Youth and Women sections
Pending Youth Chairman, Tan Kai has been re-elected as the youth chairman for the second term in the Pending branch Triennial General meeting today, which he said will be his last term.
His deputy is Goh Sze Hui while Milton Foo is the new Secretary Chairman. Treasurer is Annie Ting, Organising Secretary Lim Goh Tong. Publicity is Lee Mong yan and Training Secretary is Sim Kui Lian.
Tan Kai said this would be his last term as youth Chief and he would groom a new successor in the next three years. So far, about half of his members are new which included professionals.
He urged the youth section would not only go for big issues, but the most important thing is to work and service the people.
“There is no point shouting and harping on international issues if we failed to service the people on the ground,” he said. That, he added, should be a priority.
Meanwhile, new Woman Chief of the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Sim Bee Kim said the branch will support Central Youth woman, Amy Tnay Li Ping to continue as the Central woman chief in the coming Triennial Delegates conference.
Sim said from record shown, Tnay had sacrifice a lot for the party and was brave to speak out on issues without fear.
She said the woman will continue to do their best for the party and fought for what is right.
The deputy chairman of the woman section is Datin Enn Ong. Its Secretary is Chan Siok Chon, Treasurer, Ling Ngar Yieng, Organising Secretary Kho Teck Wan, Welfare Secretary Judy Kho and Publicity Secretary Koh Teck Ee.
