Drainage Upgrade Brings Long-Term Relief to Lorong Stampin Barat 4 Residents

Kota Sentosa State assemblyman, Wilfred Yap, said the completion of the RM161,000 drainage upgrading project at Lorong Stampin Barat 4 has brought long-awaited relief to residents who had endured years of water ponding, erosion, and flash flood risks.
“This RTP project fulfils a promise to improve the quality of life for residents, especially those living near SK Laksamana. The upgrading of deteriorated earth drains to permanent concrete drains will significantly improve stormwater flow, reduce flash flood risks, and provide a cleaner and safer environment for families and schoolchildren,” Yap said during his site visit today.
He stressed that the timely completion of the project was crucial to minimise disruptions to the community, adding that he will continue to work closely with the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) and other relevant agencies to monitor outcomes and ensure long-term benefits.
“The successful completion of this project shows that RTP funds are being put to good use for the direct benefit of the people. Our focus is on delivering practical solutions to the everyday challenges faced by the community,” he added.
Also present at the site were DID officers and representatives of the appointed contractor, Bard Supply and Services Company.
