Pipe Burst in Batu 10 Old Town Prompted Swift Response

A major pipe burst occurred at Batu 10 Old Town yesterday afternoon, leaving the area badly affected.
Batu Kitang assemblyman Dato Ir Lo Khere Chiang said he was alerted of the incident at about 3pm by Cr. Lim Liang Kee and Penghulu Lim Eng Huat before immediately contacting the Kuching Water Board (KWB).
“I wish to sincerely thank the GM and officers of KWB for their swift action in attending to the matter,” he said.
Lo, however, noted that the aftermath of the burst had left the area in disarray. He has urged KWB to prioritise clearing the debris without delay to minimise further inconvenience to residents.
“To all residents of Batu 10, I deeply regret the disruption this has caused. Your patience, understanding and cooperation have been truly commendable, and I am grateful for your support as the authorities worked tirelessly to resolve the issue,” he added.
He assured that efforts will continue to be made in partnership with local authorities to make Batu 10 safer, cleaner and better for everyone.
