Upgrading Works for BEM Satria Jaya Facilities to Begin under RTP 2025
Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap yesterday handed over the Letter of Award for the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) 2025 project to upgrade facilities at the Borneo Evangelical Mission (BEM) Satria Jaya, BDC.
The RM50,000 project, awarded to Kejuruteraan AUM Sdn Bhd, will cover the fabrication and installation of cabinets, the installation of a 500W passive stage monitor, a public address system with console mixer and digital sound system, speakers, power amplifier, power sequencer, and a new notice board.
The upgrading works are expected to enhance the worship environment of the church while also benefiting the surrounding community.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Yap said the RTP continues to channel development to the grassroots, adding that religious institutions play an important role in strengthening community unity and values.
He also pledged to work with Majlis Bandaraya Kuching Selatan (MBKS) and local communities to ensure RTP projects are carried out efficiently and bring lasting benefits to residents of Kota Sentosa.
The ceremony was witnessed by MBKS officers, church elders, and representatives of the appointed contractor.
