Dr Sim: Enrique’s Rescue a Miracle and Proof of Sarawak’s Unity
Deputy Premier of Sarawak, Dr Sim Kui Hian, has hailed the safe recovery of Enrique Bong Kai Cen after 25 hours missing as a miracle and a testament to Sarawak’s unity.
“It was truly a miracle Enrique was found alive after surviving heavy rain and a crocodile-infested riverbank. The tireless efforts of rescue teams, NGOs, volunteers, and the community reflect the best of Sarawak,” Dr Sim said.
He added that while the mystery of how Enrique survived may never be known, what matters most is that he is safely reunited with his family and community.
