Wilfred Yap Hands Over Project to Fix SK Satria Jaya Sinkhole
Students and teachers of SK Satria Jaya can now look forward to a safer school compound after Kota Sentosa Assemblyman, YB Wilfred Yap, handed over the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) 2025 project to repair a sinkhole and upgrade the area.
The RM150,000 project, funded by the Sarawak Government and implemented by JKR with contractor Muffa Trading, will stabilise the ground and improve the school compound. The sinkhole, which appeared in October 2024, had been a major safety concern until the area was cordoned off.
“I am relieved that work can now begin. This project is vital to protect the wellbeing of SK Satria Jaya’s students,” said Wilfred Yap, while thanking JKR and the Sarawak Premier for their support.
He pledged to continue working hard to bring improvements and solve problems in Kota Sentosa.
