KASUS 2025 Promotes Unity and Youth Development in Kota Sentosa
KUCHING: Kota Sentosa State Assemblyman Wilfred Yap has commended Saberkas Kota Sentosa for the successful organisation of the Karnival Sukan Saberkas (KASUS) 2025, which brought together more than 260 youths and community members through pickleball, futsal and nerf gun competitions.
Speaking at the closing and award ceremony on Sunday at Kota Sentosa Sports Centre at Batu Tujuh,Yap said the carnival helped to strengthen solidarity, unity and community spirit in Kota Sentosa.
“We are here to celebrate the champions and also to recognise the values of friendship, discipline and teamwork shown by every participant. The focus of Saberkas Kota Sentosa is to bring people together through sports,” he said.
Yap added that the event reflected the vision of the Post COVID 19 Development Strategy 2030, which places importance on well-being and the development of human capital in addition to economic growth.
“Through sports, we nurture a young generation that is healthy, disciplined, competitive and united,” he said.
He congratulated the winners and applauded all participants for their enthusiasm and sportsmanship, saying the spirit shown at the event will help build a stronger and more progressive Kota Sentosa.
“With 260 participants showing passion and commitment, KASUS 2025 proves that in sports as in life, everyone is a winner,” Yap said.
The event concluded with prize presentations to winners in futsal, pickleball and nerf gun tournaments, witnessed by representatives from supporting organisations.
