Temporary Toilet In Place of Renovation Works at Sungai Maong Wet Market
Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) Chairman, Councillor Tan Kai, has announced that toilet renovation works at the Sungai Maong (3rd Mile) Wet Market will begin on July 21 this month.
To prepare for the works, Tan Kai disclosed that a high-quality temporary toilet has already been installed and is now open for use by the public and market hawkers.
He said the two-day trial period for the temporary facility will help ensure that it meets users’ needs before the permanent toilets are closed for renovation.
The upgrading of the existing toilets is expected to take about six months to complete. During this time, he stated that the temporary facility will remain in operation to reduce inconvenience to the public.
Tan Kai expressed his appreciation for the patience and cooperation of both market hawkers and visitors saying that this initiative is part of MPP’s ongoing efforts to improve public amenities and provide a cleaner, safer, and more comfortable environment for all.
