Sharing vegetarian meals to members of the public

In today’s fast-paced world, heartfelt gestures of human kindness are more valuable than ever.

This morning, the Community in Padungan once again welcomed a warm and caring initiative — the “Vegetarian Meal Distribution Program” jointly organized by the Team Dynamic Kuching and the Team Share Love Together. Upholding their long-standing tradition of distributing 100 vegetarian meal sets on every 1st and 15th day of the lunar month, the teams continued to deliver not just meals, but genuine comfort to the community.

This regular community outreach has quietly taken root over the years, becoming more than a simple food distribution. Each act carries with it a sense of emotional connection and the spirit of “mutual support.” Every meal is more than just food — it is a symbol of hope and a gentle message to the vulnerable: “You are not alone.”

The involvement of agenices brought a positive atmosphere and strengthened the relationship between government institutions and the people, embodying a service philosophy that puts people first.

In a special outreach effort, Cr. Tay Tze Kok and Cr. Liew Loong Yee, Councillors of Kuching South City Council (MBKS), personally visited 17 households with disabled family members, delivering vegetarian meals directly to their doors. Their actions reflected the belief that “when the people are at the heart of what we do, only then can service be truly meaningful.” They emphasized that heartfelt service begins with listening to voices on the ground and understanding the realities that people face.

“True service stems from a sincere concern for people’s daily lives. Only by stepping into their world can our actions truly resonate,” said Cr. Tay Tze Kok during the event.

Cr. Liew Loong Yee added, “Families with disabled members often face hidden and ongoing struggles. We must consistently stay engaged and ensure they are not left behind by society.”

This initiative is not only an act of material giving — it is a meaningful connection of social empathy. Through continuous community efforts like this, the Team Dynamic Kuching and Team Share Love Together demonstrate the power of collaboration between non-profit groups and the public, creating a model of positive engagement and grassroots unity. Each distribution is not just a gift of food — it is a message that kindness can be consistent, service can be deep, and leadership can carry warmth.

Looking ahead, the teams reaffirmed their commitment to the philosophy of “people first, care above all,” pledging to continue reaching out to the underserved and turning every small act of compassion into a powerful force for building a caring and inclusive society.
