Drainage system upgrade in Kampung Bukit Pancur completed
Batu Kitang State Assemblyman, Dato Ir Lo Khere Chiang, announced the early completion of drainage system upgrades in Kampung Bukit Pancur, Bau. The project, carried out under the RTP ADUN N13 Batu Kitang initiative, was originally scheduled for completion by May 15, 2025, but was finished ahead of time.
Implemented by JNC General Contractor, the project aimed to enhance the village’s drainage infrastructure for better water management and flood prevention. The works included site clearance, removal of old drainage structures, and the construction of reinforced concrete drains and culverts.
The total cost of the project was RM199,980.00, covering a 150-meter drainage system.
Lo expressed his gratitude to all involved, including Majlis Daerah Bau and the contractor, for their dedication. He reaffirmed the Sarawak government’s commitment to improving rural infrastructure and ensuring a better quality of life for the people.
He said more projects would be identified and implemented to benefit local communities.
