SESCO’s support paves way for new tourism project in Batu Kitang
Batu Kitang state Assemblyman, Dato Ir Lo Khere Chiang, has expressed his gratitude to Sesco for granting consent to use their access road for the Persatuan Nelayan Darat Kampung Paya Mebi project site.
“This collaboration marks a significant step forward in enhancing local infrastructure and boosting tourism in N13 Batu Kitang,” he said.
The project will feature a scenic fishing spot, chalets, a canteen, and a picturesque walkway along the riverbank. It is expected to become a new tourism attraction for the area.
Dato Lo also acknowledged the Premier of Sarawak for approving an allocation of RM7 million to support the initiative.
“With this support, the next step will be for our architects to submit the proposal to SPA for consideration and approval. I look forward to seeing this project benefit the local community and further elevate Batu Kitang as a key tourism destination,” he added.
