Small entrepreneurs receives assistance from Datuk Sebastian Ting
Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Datuk Sebastian Ting presented equipment valued RM90,000 to 13 recipients in his Piasau constituency.
Ting said the set of cake making equipment which is under Sarawak government Agriculture Facilitation Rogram with each beneficiary receiving about RM7,000 worth of equipment.
He said he is targeting those interested in starting a business or running small home-based enterprises to increase their economic income.
Asking recipients to make good use of the equipment provided, he added that the Miri Agriculture will conduct regular checks to monitor their progress.
He added that his office had actively sought assistance from the AFP to help those in need, including Musang King durian saplings, agricultural fertilisers, hydroponic techniques, and stingless bee farming.
The Piasau assemblyman urged recipients to use the equipment wisely to enhance their livelihoods and expand their business volumes, as well as ultimately achieving stable income levels.
“I would also like to encourage recipients to develop their potential in cake-making as a skill that could provide a steady source of income and improve their quality of life,” he added.
This initiative, he emphasised, reflects the benefits delivered by the Sarawak government to the people, aimed at ensuring support for skills, enhancement, and economic empowerment.
“The government is committed to devising various strategies and programmes to drive economic development,” he said.
