Cleaning up walkways in Miri City
A business premises at the Center point Commercial Centre has its items placed on the sidewalk seized by the Miri City Council (MCC) during an operation.
In a statement today, the council said the premises owner failed to co-operate after being given warnings and compounded previously.
Among the items seized were refrigerators, chillers,water purifiers, water dispensers, ovens, and table fans.
The council’s enforcement section with PDRM clear the items placed outside the unauthorised areas under the Cleanliness Bylaw under Section 18 and Section 26.
MCC said that they will continue the operation in future and requested that all business premises owners under its jurisdiction not to misuse the sidewalks, parking spaces, and public areas to ensure Miri City a safe and orderly condition.
