Donation of microwave for Heart patients from Lions Club of Kuching Oriental and Persatuan Peminat Gourmet Kuching
A total of 28 units of Microwave for patients and staffs of Sarawak Heart Centre by Lions Club of Kuching Oriental & Persatuan Peminat Gourmet Kuching.
Lion Valentine Leslie, President of Lions Club of Kuching Oriental cum founder of Persatuan Peminat Gourmet Kuching said they hoped to make a difference every day, everywhere we serve. And with the support of our members, we are changing lives, communities and the world we share, for a better tomorrow.
Valentine was a patient of the heart centre with first hand understanding of the needs by stepping forwards and stepping up in organising the microwave donations which he was told mission achieved within 24 hours.
Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian said not only the gesture bring smiles to the faces of those who are admitted to PJS as inpatients from all over Sarawak, it will also bring sense of appreciation to the staffs of the PJS, making their services, sacrifices felt appreciated and acknowledged. A small gesture but it means a lot to the patients, the staffs of PJS.
Dr Sim thanked the Lions for walking the talk and taking leadership in doing something for your community heart centre.
