Wilfred Yap proposes new toilets for SMK DPHA Gapor
SMK DPHA Gapor, Jalan Stampin will get RM150,000 for the proposed construction of a new toilet for use by parents, students and teachers during school extra curricular activites at the school hall.
Kota Sentosa Assemblyman, Wilfred Yap together with officers from Public Works Department (JKR) visited the school on Friday. This wad under his approved RTP 2023 project.
Yap said the visit was to identify a suitable site and to gather inputs and suggestions from the representatives of the school on the design of the new toilet.
During the visit, Yap requested JKR officers to speed up the preparation of the scope of works and bill of quantities of the new toilet and for the school administration to urgently get the approval from the Sarawak Education Department so that the construction works can commence and parents, teachers and students can enjoy its benefits.
He said he will continue to co-ordinate with JKR and the school administration to ensure that any delay in the implementation of his RTP project can be avoided.
For 2024, Yap will allocate another RTP sum of RM200,000 for further upgrade and repairs of school facilities and he has requested the school’s parent teachers association to formally write to him on the unsatisfactory facilities that needs to be upgraded and repaired.
He added he is committed to ensure that all school facilities in Kota Sentosa are satisfactory to ensure a learning environment that is positive which can lead to greater student achievement.
