Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian calls to Sarawakians to work for the betterment of Sarawak

Sarawak enjoyed a good year in 2023 due to stability, unity and peace, said Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian.

In his new year message, Dr Sim said for 2024, we should continue to do so as there are still a lot of work to do, that included MA63, health autonomy, education autonomy, one-third Parliamentary seat for Sabah and Sarawak. By achieving this, West Malaysia cannot change the constitution whenever they like.

“We should also continue to accelerate PCDS 2030 so our Rakyat can enjoy our prosperity, our inclusivity and our environmental sustainability treasures earlier than 2030. Naturally, there will be full of challenges as we accelerate our Sarawak forwards looking progress in Malaysia and the regions. Let us be the leading example for them and just let them follow Sarawak’s way rather than admire, jealousy and “tengoook saja”, he said.

Dr Sim urged Sarawakians to remain united, work hard for Sarawak’s betterment, play your part, no matter where you are, for Sarawak so that we can achieve and enjoy the golden era of Sarawak sooner.

He wished everyone the best of health for 2024.
