Sarawakians should work together to achieve the 2030 goals, says Datuk Sebastian Ting
Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts of Sarawak, Datuk Sebastian Ting said that youth is the most active and dynamic force in the whole society and the future of Sarawak as the country is in the hands of young people.
Ting who attended the Miri Youth Activity Centre said Sarawak was not what it used to be, and the people of Sarawak should join hands with the Sarawak government to achieve the goal of the post-2030 Covid-19 development strategy to become an advanced and high-income Sarawak by 2030.
He said that although, not all members of the Miri Youth Activity Center are party members, the purpose of its establishment is to allow young people who do not participate in politics to conduct exchange activities. It is a venue for young people to have a platform of their own.
Ting, who is also the honorary chairman and honorary consultant, pointed out that the leaders and teams of each session have contributed a lot and thanked them for their effort.
He said that since the establishment of the Youth Activity Center, numerous large and small events have been held, so that young people can get together, and it has also helped countless young people on their entrepreneurial journeys to increase their exposure to the public and expand their network.
