GPS will win big to decide who is government, says Dr. Sim
SUPP President, Dato’ Sri Dr. Sim Kui Hian said all political parties in West Malaysia have offered GPS a deputy Prime Minister post on the day of polling on November 19.
In a press conference at Kuching branch SUPP today, after the launch of Bandar Kuching Eric Tay’s manifesto, Dr. Sim disclosed that this is the time GPS will call the shots on who will be the government.
“After 59 years, we can make a difference. There was so much unhappiness. Sarawakians have been cheated before and now Malaya political scenario is so chaotic so no one party can form the government. They will look for us,” he said.
Dr. Sim said even though the result is not out, still everyone asked for GPS to negotiate when the time comes. He said no one will know who is the government or who is the opposition but it would mean that GPS will have the final say and whoever offers the best deal, GPS will take it, he added.
Saying that GPS is a Sarawak based party, Dr. Sim said whatever deal is made, it will be for Sarawakians unlike DAP or PKR who will adhere to their leaders in Malaysia as they have more MPs there.
He reckoned that Sarawak DAP has too few seats to call the shots over their counterparts in West Malaysia.
Dr Sim also queried why DAP is using a DAP logo for Sarawak here. He wondered if in future it will spark off a legal implication for them as there is an anti-hopping law in place. He said they have started the rumor fearing tactics for a vote for GPS, Zahid senang. A vote for GPS, Najib will be freed. Saying that this is nonsense as it will be the court to decide for ZahidFor DAP and PKR they are Malaya party, not sarawak. Fear rumour mongers had said a vote for GPS , Zahid senang. UMNO president, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is embroiled in court for corruption charges.
He added that Zahid senang or not is the court decision and for Najib, former Prime Minister who is jailed for corruption, he said it is up to Agong to pardon him. Dr. Sim pointed out that the DAP dare not offend Agong by talking against him as they need Agong to swear them in if they won the election.
He also ticked off DAP for recycling their manifesto as they did not fulfill theirs during the last election.
Saying that the SUPP manifesto is like a Bible, he asked the people to vote for Eric Tay as he is as important as the other 30 candidates for GPS.
