World Counselling Day seminar at SUPP HQ
Sarawak has the fourth highest number of people suffering from depression.
Sarawak Deputy Premier, Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian said during the State level World counselling day seminar at the SUPP headquarters of which the theme is “Emotional health is your core”, a timely and important topic on emotional health.
He said irrespective of social status, race, religion and age, anyone can be prone to emotional and mental health problems.
Dr Sim said it is challenging for those who have health issues and was unable to seek help. He urged those whose family members, colleagues and friends who suffered from mental health to get them to seek professional help. He hoped that the stigma of mental health illness will be reduced through such seminars organised.
