Lo Khere Chiang officiating new classroom block in SK Chung Hua Batu 10

A kindergarten school block which house classrooms and teachers room consisting of RM 520,000 has been completed at SK Chung Hua Batu 10.

State Assemblyman Batu Kitang, Lo Khere Chiang who officated the opening of the building this morning said the double story six classrooms was opened to cater to the needs of the kindergarten.

Lo pointed out that he contributed RM 50,000 of the Rural Transformation programme (RTP) fund towards the building block while the fund of the funds come from the community including the parents.

Praising them for their diligent in raising funds, Lo said, this is what he likes of the community in his constituency. He said by raising funds themselves anc building the school will give them a sense of belonging.

SK Chung Hua Batu 10, he added has one of the highest populated school in which 42% percent of the 1400 pupils at SK Chung Hua Batu 10 are Bumiputras despite school fees being more expensive than government schools.

He congratulate the wisdom of their parents to send their children there as to learn bilingual languages is a tool for future career.

“Learning more than one language is useful. Business is borderless thus to advance well, it is good to know more than one languages. Learning Mandarin will not make anyone less Malay or Dayak. In Sarawak, we do not accommodate racism, ” he added.

Lo said Sarawak has set up a good example of how difference races and religions can cohort together in all aspects, ” he said.
