Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts, Datuk Sebastian Ting goes digital by launching his personal app “Sebastian Ting” for the public’s easy access to his Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Ting who is N73 Piasau State Assemblyman is the first Member of Sarawak State Legislative Assembly in Sarawak to venture into this application which he hopes to give his constituents and supporters a glimpse of his work through photos and videos.

The developer of the app, Cr. Aries Leong who is the Organizing Secretary of Miri (Piasau) branch of the Sarawak United Peoples’ Party(SUPP), said at today’s app launching ceremony that the public can view Sebastian Ting’s political trends and daily activities with more features added in future.
The app started off in English as the medium language, but considering the diverse ethnic groups in Sarawak, more languages will be considered in the future. This app is now available for download through Apple (iOS) and Android.
Cr Leong explained that the original intention of developing this app is to align to the aspiration of Sarawak Primer Tan Sri Datuk Patinggi Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Abang Haji Openg to strive towards digital technology and digital economy, where Assemblyman can lead by example and continue to encourage the masses towards digitalization.
“Abang Johari has always advocated digitalization, and the Assemblyman who are part of his team should be digitalized. At present, children are already mastering digital technology, and we must learn and progress together. And this is where our YB Sebastian Ting has decided to embark on, ” he said.
Cr. Leong emphasized that the promotion of Sebastian Ting’s personal App is just a new beginning.
It took him a month to develop this app and will further include an online registration feature for new SUPP party members, to ease the registration process, and towards digitalization of SUPP.
He added that the applications commonly used by Miri people include the Smart Parking Borneo app, the Miri Smart City app, and the SEB Cares app. These applications were developed by Kuching team, while Sebastian Ting’s personal app was developed by him, a Mirian.
