Deadline for status postponed to April
The deadline for all senior citizens aged 60 years and above and Sinovac recipients aged 18 years and above who have yet to have their booster dose to maintain fully vaccinated status can do so now as the status has been extended to March 31.
Deputy Premier, Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian said starting April 1, the fully vaccinated status for the groups would be changed to ‘incomplete’ if they have yet to receive the booster jab.
Dr. Sim who himself is in quarantine after being infected with covid 19 urged the people to go for booster jab as there is a surge of Omicron cases world wide.
He said there is no reason for them not to as there are multiple options and vaccine combinations such as SSP (Sinovac+Sinovac+Pfizer), SSS (Sinovac+Sinovac+Sinovac), AAP (AstraZeneca+AstraZeneca+Pfizer) and PPP (Pfizer+Pfizer+Pfizer) available.
