Drainage upgrading for flash flood areas
Deputy Chief Minister, Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian said despite the year end holidays, he is grateful that Drainage Irrigation department (DID) continued to work throughout to ensure that upgrading of drainages are done immediately.
He said the handout of two projects for two areas were done at mid of December last year.
Both the projects costing RM300, 000 each were for upgrading of Taman Sri Emas and Taman Stapok, Lorong 2, Batu Kawa. The projects will start on 22nd December to July this year.
Dr. Sim said due to the unpredictable weather and heavy downpour, the upgrading of drains were necessary to prevent flash flood.
He said as promised during the just concluded election, GPS will always upgraded and uplifted the lives of the people.
