Pending N.10, Milton Foo faces four other opponents

Pending N.10 see a five-cornered fight in this 12th Sarawak Election.

Incumbent Violet Yong Wui Wui (DAP), who is set to defend her seat for the fourth term, submitted her nomination papers at 8:58am, with her proposer Valene Yong Wui Fei and seconder Choo Chiew Jun.

Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP-GPS) Milton Foo Tiang Wee and Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) Tan Kay Hock, Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) Teo Kuang Kim and Sarawak People’s Aspiration Party’s (Aspirasi) Chan Chee Hiong joined in the fray to upseat her.

Election Commission Returning officer Wong Ming Kong announced that all candidates successfully submitted their nomination papers at Kuching South City Council (MBKS) and there was no objection from anyone.

Violet won the seat for three consecutive terms since 2006 where in the last State election, she beat Milton Foo in a straight fight winning a majority of 5012 votes.
