Mambong belongs to GPS, says Lo Khere Chiang
Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) Chairman, Lo Khere Chiang said he will not mind whichever GPS coalition parties field in their candidates for Mambong state seat as long as it is not from parties outside sarawak.
When asked if Mambong belongs to SUPP, Lo said it was true that a candidate from SUPP was fielded in the last State election.
The candidate, Datuk Dr Jerip Susil who won the seat had then joined the parties headed by Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh. He later joined PBB.
Lo said he will leave this issue (who to get Mambong) to the wisdom of his party President, Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian and Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari. “I know they are wise to deal with it amicably, ‘ he said.
On his campaigning trial, Lo said despite being elected as a first term state assembly five years ago, he has never neglected his constituency. He said he ensured that his constituents infrastructure were upgraded and the less fortunate were given assistance through his RM 5 million Rural Transformation programme(RTP) .
“I go to the ground seven days a week. Even during pandemic, I went to the red zones to distribute food and necessity to the lockdown residents,” he added.
Lo said he is not like some who can be seen giving away a few bags of sugar and rice just because election is looming near.
Asked if he has ever cross path with his opponents during his daily work on the ground the last five years, Lo said he rarely saw them.
