More covid 19 vaccine arrives in Kuching
A total of 65,520 doses of Pfizer vaccines (largest single delivery of it) arrived in Kuching on Wednesday evening after the arrival of 38,4000 doses Sinovac earlier in the day, said Local Minister and Housing Minister, Dato’ Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian.
He said early in the day,an additional 384,000 doses of Sinovac COVID19 vaccines air shipment (part of National COVID19 vaccination Program – PICK) arriving Kuching during the morning.
Dr Sim said said 384,000 doses, as promised by Federal government has arrived.
Sarawak, he said has the capacity to store up to 1 million doses of Sinovac, and the capacity to scale up vaccination to 50,000 doses per day.
Dr Sim hoped that in the spirit of solidarity and unity, with more GP, Private Hospitals, KK, General Hospitals and mass Vaccination Centres (KKM and Private), PPV industries, more Sarawakians can be vaccinated faster to create herd immunity.
At the same time the AstraZeneca, voluntary, operations have started smoothly for the last 2 days in Sarawak. It will be scaled up to more than 3,000 per day.
