Calling for medical volunteers

Sarawak government is recruiting medical volunteers to assist in Covid-19 vaccination programme in all PPVs throughout Sarawak.

Local government and Housing Minister, Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian said eligible candidates must be Malaysia citizens living in Sarawak, aged 18 to 60, healthy physically and mentally, willing to be assigned to any location in Sarawak and had no contact with Covid positive cases in the past 14 days.

“Recruitment is opened to medical officers, pharmacy officers, medical officer assistants and nurses, with monthly allowances up to RM2, 400, insurance coverage and priority to be given COVID19 vaccination,” he added.

Additional Sinovac COVID19 vaccines air shipment (part of National COVID19 vaccination Program – PICK) arriving recently and Dr Sim said COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) commitment of substantial weekly amount of PICK vaccines to Sarawak the next few days.

Besides, he added, two AstraZeneca Covid-19 Vaccination Centres (PPVAZ ) has been operating in Sarawak from June 7 onwards, i.e. Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) in Kuching and Institut Kemahiran Belia Negara (IKBN) in Miri.
