MPP knows the problems in its area, says Lo Khere Chiang
State assemblyman for Batu Kitang, Lo Khere Chiang urged DAP Abdul Aziz Isa to look at bigger issues instead of nitpicking on petty issues in Padawan Municipal Council (MPP).
Aziz, he sad sounds like a parrot complaining on the soil erosion at Lorong 4, Jalan Semeba of which the cost of the repair is RM13,000.
“Actually, there are 37 major erosion in the whole of Padawan constituency which need at least RM700,000 to deal with. These erosion happened during the flood season. As we all know that floods causes havoc to roads and other infrastructure and we need to deal with it one by one. We will take care of issues by tackling the most urgent ones, ” explained Lo who is also Chairman of MPP.
He told Aziz did not to poke his nose into council’s matters if he is not helping matters but instead stirring up people’s sentiment to be upset with the government.
Lo said in Padawan, they have the mechanism of knowing issues and plights of the people. “The staff and councillors are on the ground constantly to listen to the people needs. Thus, if there are matters that need to be raised, the public are most welcome to contact the council or the councillors. Any infrastructure problems related to the council will be brought forward and we will deal with it accordingly, ” he added.
