Upgrading roads at Mile 7
A RM 166,000 upgrading work at Batu Tujuh Main Bazaar, Jalan Liu Shan Bang was done by the contractor of Padawan Municipal Council to improve the road conditions there.
Public Complaints Bureau Chief cum Kota Sentosa Branch Chairman, Wilfred Yap said he went community leaders during their regular “turun padang” activity to 7th Mile area and was told of the problem roads.
He said the most common request by residents was to ask Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) to carry out upgrading works to infrastructure facilities like drains and roads. Such requests, he added, for assistance are always immediately communicated to MPP for their action.
Yap added that he will always continue to serve as the voice of the community living in Kota Sentosa and will continue to try his best to fight for more development funding for the benefit of the business community and residents in the area.
He appealed to the current Stampin Member of Parliament and Kota Sentosa State Assemblyman, Chong Chieng Jen to assist to apply and secure development funds from both the Sarawak or Federal Government for the implementation of improvement and upgrading infrastructure works for the benefit of the communities of Kota Sentosa which is also within Stampin Parliamentary constituency.
