Tnay Li Ping blasts MP Stampin

Cr Tnay Li Ping regretted that Stampin MP Chong Chieng Jen is irresponsible for telling off Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) of not being proactive or planning their task properly.

Tnay said Chong is making a mountain out of a mole hill talking about the drain erosion issue at a private factory in Semaba which MPP is still in the midst of assisting the factory owner.

“Now we will not do this project anymore and let Chong deal with it since he has not done much for his constituency,” she said.

Tnay reckoned Chong should have check with the council before making such slanderous and misleading statement accusing of negligence on his personal Facebook page.

She said Chong who is a lawyer and also a MP for more than 20 years, does not know that the council’s infrastructure funding which cannot be used for the maintenance of private industries. “Since the land is private land, the landlord is obliged to carry out his own land maintenance but he had gone to the factory owners, an elderly couple to give a wrong picture of the whole scenario. This kind of behavior and practice of fooling the people is really unpleasant,” she added.

MPP, said Tnay, normally will not carry out the maintenance of private land but MPP Chairman, Lo Khere Chiang sympathise with them and decided to use his RTP Special funds to repair the drainage even though the factory is not in Batu Kitang constituency, but Chong’s constituency.

She added that since Chong has interfered, she will let him serve his Stampin constituency.
