RM 120 million for Batu Kawa flood mitigation
DID SARAWAK will implement RM120 million Batu Kawa flood mitigation and drainage system upgrading project under 12th Malaysia Plan (2021-2025).
Under this project, it includes the improvement of drainage system at Lorong 1C and 3, Sg. Moyan, Sg. Surih, Jalan Field Force, Jalan Ketitir ,desa wira and RPR area. As well as the riverbank rehabilitation works at Kpg. Sinar Budi Baru.
Perunding CF has been appointed as the project design and consultancy company by DID SARAWAK.
DID Sarawak Assistant Director Ir Jamesy Ak Mijek briefed Minister of Local Government Sarawak, who is also Batu Kawah assemblyman, Prof. Dato Sri Dr. Sim Kui Hian on the project details on Jan,30. The representative of the project design and consultancy company Ir Foo Siang Ning and SUPP Batu Kawa branch chairman Lim Ah Ted also at the site.
DID believes that Batu Kawah drainage issue will be improved after the project completed.
