Do not go overboard, said Kho Teck Wan to DAP

SUPP councillor, Kho Teck Wan said that there were occasions when the road signs with Chinese characters were changed, and the Chinese characters were dropped which was not dine woth malice.

She was commenting on roadsigns in Kiching city where DAP members were seen adding Mandarin characters to the road signs.

Kho said when notified by public the respective city or district council will rectify the mistake immediately.

“We are government by rules and there is a proper channel to lodge complain and request.DAPSY is taking matter into their own hands while disregarding law and authority. As a political party, they are setting a bad example for normal citizen,” she said.

She said among those who performed the publicity stunt were formal YB Julian Tan. As a formal YB, he should know better to not break the law. Changing road sign can cause serious consequences.

Sarawak, she said, is a model state of harmony and unity. “I would like to know what is the message DAPSY tried to sent to Sarawakian and the rest of the world? Has they been ill treated or denied of their rights in Sarawak? Their immature action tarnished Sarawak’s image and can cause unnecessary racial tension,” she added.
