Road inspection along Jalan Razak/Jalan Foochow junction
Majlis Bandaraya Kuching Selatan (MBKS) Mayor, Dato Wee Hong Seng went to the ground to check complaints made by members of the public on the road condition at Jalan Tun Razak-Jalan Foochow Junction.
Wee with councillors at the site said the Sarawak JKR department is waiting for contractor’s rectification report before drawing up a restoration plan.
Cr Goh explained that the section of road was paved with cement to prevent the lot from sinking. However, there may be some negligence in the road construction process, resulting in uneven road surface.
Wee said that the bumpy road condition has existed for a year and need to be resolved as soon as possible. It will be one of the primary concerns under MBKS and will continue to follow up with JKR.
