Upgrading of Sentosa Town square
SUPP PCB Chief Wilfred Yap during his regular “turun padang” activity to 7th Mile area was again approached by the business community and local residents who complained to him of the delayed improvement and upgrading works of the canopy and stage situate at Kota Sentosa Mini Town Square. The business community and local residents were also unhappy with the shoddy workmanship and cleanliness of the construction site.
Following the complaint received, SUPP PCB Wilfred Yap is very concerned with this “sick” project and had once again communicated the problem to the Engineering Department of Padawan Municipal Council (PMC). Wilfred Yap who is also a Councillor of PMC has recommended that PMC issue a stern warning to the contractor to keep the construction site clean and set a final dateline for the contractor to complete the project as the completion date is long overdue. SUPP PCB Wilfred Yap shall also recommend to PMC to consider blacklisting the contractor concerned from future PMC projects due to the sub standard performance in carrying out the project.
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau Chief Wilfred Yap shall also continue to serve as the eyes and ears of the community living there to ensure that the infrastructure facilities in Kota Sentosa area are constantly upgraded and maintained properly for the benefit of the community living there. Wilfred Yap will also continue to highlight and try to resolve issues of public interest affecting the public.
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau is always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone facing problems or who come across problems of public interest but does not know how to deal with it.
