Campaign drive for Sarawak Cochlear Implant Association’s a success, says Sebastian Ting
A donation drive for three toddlers has exceeded its initial target of RM252,000 for Cochlear implant, said Datuk Sebastian Ting, who is Assistant Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture.
Ting whi is the Chairman of Sarawak Cochlear Implant Association said the campaign started on Oct 4 has raised RM276,774.10 as of yesterday.
Khe received cash donations from three associations namely Lions Club of Miri Mandarin, KRT Hill Top, and Women Dance Group in a simple ceremony yesterday in Miri. a
Thanking all the donors, Ting said the toddlers could now undergo surgery arranged by Dr Doris Jong.
Headded that whenever there is a new case that requires public donation, they will do it according to proper procedures.
