Blue Army Press Statement on 5/6/2014
SUPP Blue Army seriously condemned the statement given by Teras Meluan Division pro tem chairman Jerry Clement as “naïve, ridiculous and jumpy” by saying that Teras now has the second loudest voice to represent the people as far as “BN” is concerned, as published in the Borneo Post and See Hua Daily News on 5/6/2014.
Milton Foo from the SUPP Blue Army has put the following questions to Jerry Clement:
(1) has BN accepted Teras into BN as component party whether at the state or federal level?
(2) those assembly persons who recently joined Teras had won their constituencies in the last state election under Teras ticket or BN SUPP/SPDP ticket?
(3) since it was asserted that “the majority of the people were with Teras”, then Teras has a duty to prove to the people by making the newly joined assembly persons to resign as ADUN (as they had won their seats under the roof of their previous parties respectively, but not under Teras in a by-election.)
(4) Under BN spirit, it is always an indisputable fact that Pelagus belonged to PRS; Pakan, Tasik Biru, Marudi, Bekenu and Batu Danau belonged to SPDP and so as Bawang Assan, Bengoh, Engkilili and Opar belonged to SUPP. By saying that Teras has the second loudest voice in the state BN, who is the “jumpy” party here? Please be reminded that those assembly persons won their seats NOT under Teras ticket which is not even in existence yet during the last state election, but under SPDP & SUPP respectively.
Jerry Clement should apologise to the people for the misleading statement by saying that Teras has the second loudest voice in representing the people as far as state BN is concerned as Teras is yet a member of BN todate.
With regards to Engkilili assemblyman’s pledge to Datuk Francis Harden Hollis not to initiate a search for a new candidate to stand in Engkilili in the next state election, the Blue Army said it is hard to believe that such an “undemocratic” statement was made by Dr Johnnical Rayong, who is the existing Engkilili assemblyman who had won the constituency under SUPP ticket in 2011.
Milton Foo, who is also a practising lawyer by profession, stressed that in a democratic electoral process, it is the basic and fundamental right of every citizen of Malaysia to stand as a candidate for election in any constituency and Engkilili is not exclusive to Dr Johnnical Rayong Ngipa.
“No doubt, the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister had the final say in choosing the BN candidates for constituencies allocated to its BN component parties, but is TERAS a BN component party yet?” the Blue Army put it to Rayong.
“Please stop giving a mockery statement as such” said Milton Foo.
